Paul Ford

Founder & Managing Partner


Paul offers 20 years of experience in the insurance, healthcare and technology industries, and currently serves as the Co-Founder/CEO of Traffk, the modern insurance underwriting and distribution platform. Paul also launched the prescription drug management company, OrchestraRx.  Prior to launching Traffk and OrchestraRx, Paul was Managing Principal of Qloud Health, a healthcare technology advisory firm advising early-stage healthcare, fintech, and insurance technology companies that are at the forefront of innovation, helping to build solutions to curb healthcare spending and more effectively manage and analyze massive volumes of patient data. These include Nerdwallet, Carrum Health, HealthExpense, SimpleFi, Hubbub Health, Connecture, HSBlox, EnvisionRx, and others.

Paul is a graduate of California State University – East Bay where he studied Economics with an emphasis in econometrics (algorithm building) and statistics. Paul also held corporate positions at Aetna, Mercer, and Safeway/Safeway Health that included underwriting, consulting, product development, and executive leadership roles.

Born and raised in Northern California, Paul currently resides outside of Louisville, KY with his family.

Bryan Simms

Managing Partner


Bryan is a Managing Partner at DS9 Capital. He currently assists as Chief Corporate Development Officer of Traffk - an insurance-focused platform. He has been an advisor and stakeholder of the Company since 2016, and is responsible for pipeline generation, complex B2B SaaS sales, and strategic alliance/partnership channel creation. He is also a National Board Member and Atlanta Chapter President of CavAngels, LLC, a nonprofit club composed of University of Virginia alumni, faculty, parents, students and friends of the University whose mission is both to provide education and investment in private, early-stage companies associated with members of the UVA family, and to provide networking opportunities for UVA alumni, faculty and students who share an interests in private equity investment including both investors and entrepreneurs.


Formerly, Bryan was one of the founding members of Lazard Wealth Management. He authored and executed the marketing business plan for the group focusing on single/multifamily offices, endowments, foundations and ultra-high net worth private investors. Prior to Lazard, Bryan had advised client families at JPMorgan Private Bank and Morgan Stanley for whom he compiled a strong record of success raising in excess of $2.5B in new assets.
